( sasha had married her husband when he was a much different man. a man with as much love as he did ambition. but now? it seems he only has the latter left. he always wants more and more; a bigger house, a nicer car, more fancy suits. until he has very little if not none left for his wife. and yet, sasha stuck with him throughout it all, if only because, she's got nowhere to go.
tonight feels like the last straw for her. the man she calls her husband had promised to make this a romantic night for them, only for him to revert to his old ways when he saw some familiar faces in business. it's like being married to someone with a gambling addiction, she thought. so she drowns her sorrows and gets some time alone from her husband when he decided to take off to talk to someone - which makes her feel less lonely, ironically enough. she was at the bar not far from where she was, when fang approaches her. sasha blinks and looks at fang's features, her handsome face immediately standing out as did her accent. )
Oh. No, no I don't think so.
( sasha swallows whatever disappointment she had that was forming to a sob, seeing fang as a welcome distraction from her woes. )
I don't think I've actually talked to a woman in these sort of events before, to be honest with you. Most of them just ignore me.
( she lets out a sheepish chuckle, looking down at her hands on the bar. a lot of the women either find her intimidating or underwhelming, by other arm candies and intellectuals respectively. she couldn't find anyone to relate to )
so sorry for taking so long! i've been sick
